WELCOME TO THE UNION FAMILY OF LOCAL 406 GCC/IBT
The leadership of Local 406 of the Graphic Communications Conference International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union is proud to announce, we have updated and improved the local‘s website. We want to express our sincere thanks for your patience during this very busy period.
We have new and exciting information for our members, the most updated information related to our bargaining unit contracts, local by-laws, services, benefits and general day to day news updates.
We welcome input from you the member, as to how we can improve this site. We encourage our members to take advantage of what may be offered and the information provided. This is your website, dedicated to improving our communications with the rank and file.
We hope those who do attend monthly union meetings continue to attend, but for those who are unable, this website will give you an overview of what is happening now and into the future. You will now be able to understand how this local union works and the benefits derived from being a part of this group of dedicated union members.
We face many challenges going into the future but, remain optimistic and will continue to provide you the best representation available. We are fortunate to have some of the best local and unit wide leadership within the industry. Our goal is to make you feel good about being a part of this union and what it represents, not only you, but your families as well.
As you proceed through the new website, you will notice new ways to gain information on particular issues that may affect you or your unit. We intend to continue adding information, because we believe keeping the members informed helps create an atmosphere that's positive for all.
You will now be able to find dates and times of meetings, receive updated day to day news, services, and the names of your local executive and unit officers as well as other helpful information.
This is just the beginning of what we believe is the right direction for this local union and its many members who represent half of Newsday’s work force. This is your site, help make it work, participate in its content, let others know we are united towards one goal, to expect fairness and equality while employed at Newsday.
