Constitutional duties of Secretary-Treasurer
The Secretary Treasurer shall receive payment of all initiation fees, dues and fines, have the authority to pay all regular operating expenses and bills of the Local, as well as any other payments authorized by the President or Executive Committee.
The Secretary Treasurer shall keep a correct and accurate account of the receipts and expenses and make a report of it to the Local monthly.
The Secretary Treasurer shall deposit in the name of the Local all funds in such banks, savings accounts and trust companies as are approved by the Executive Committee and retain the bank books.
The books of the Secretary Treasurer shall be subject to inspection by the Executive Committee at any time upon forty eight (48) hours notice.
The Secretary Treasurers books and records shall be submitted for audits annually, said audit shall be signed by a public accountant or the audit committee and shall be attested by the president.
The Secretary Treasurer shall have custody of all of the funds of the Local as well as all of its books and records, securities, bonds and all other properties.
The Secretary Treasurer shall keep a full and complete record in the office of the Local of the names, addresses and places of employment of each member of the Local.
The Secretary Treasurer shall send out all necessary notices to the members and perform all the duties required of the Locals Secretary Treasurer by the provisions of the Constitution and Laws of the International Union, shall make all reports to the International Union and pay the monthly per-capita tax when as required by the International Constitution and Laws.
The Secretary Treasurer shall prepare and have printed for distribution to the members in the month of June of each year, an annual report showing all receipts and disbursements for the preceding fiscal year, the balance in banks and trust companies to the credit of the Local and such other tangible assets of which this Local may be the possessor.
The Secretary Treasurer shall prepare all blank tally sheets for the use of the Board of inspectors at the election of officers and a list of members in good standing who are eligible to vote.
The Secretary Treasurer shall be bonded in accordance with the Constitution and Laws of the International Union. The Secretary Treasurer shall preside at all meetings in the absence of the President.
