Get ready to vote, again. Hot on the heels of national and state elections, Local 406 will conduct elections of unit officers during the general meeting in December after nominations in November at the general meeting. Both will be on Zoom.

             As with many divorces,  there are complicated disputes, even after the split. So it goes with the separation of the Printing, Packaging & Production Workers Union and its former merger partner, The Teamsters.

      Here is the official tally of the votes for the Local 406 president in the rerun election conducted on July 19, 2023.

            Local 406 President Mike LaSpina will complete his term of office after defeating his challenger, reporter Ted Phillips. Ballots for the rerun election were counted on Wednesday under supervision by the Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS). The vote was 61-28; 89 ballots were cast, a participation record.
